NATIONAL STAMP OUT HUNGER DAY WAS MAY 11TH

Thank you to all the Hopkinton residents who contributed to Stamp Out Hunger Day last Saturday. The Postal Carriers as well as the volunteers here at Project Just Because feel that it was a record breaking season! Many thanks for helping us continue to put food on the tables of those less fortunate that ourselves.

Message From the President of Project Just Because

Last week was a very emotional week for all of us here at Project Just Because and around the world. I am very happy to report that all of our 4 runners and their families who were at the finish line were not hurt physically. The emotional scars, however, will be with them for a long time to come. Today is a new day and the strength of our team and the outpouring of love has been so very strong. Please allow me to share this story with you: A mother whose family we help came up to me at an event just a week ago and as we hugged she whispered in my ear "Please thank your Team for me. " She knew that all the fundraising efforts would allow food to be put on her table for her children. Their much needed clothes would now be attainable. Not only were they "our" Dream Team Runners, but a Dream Team to all those we help as well. Lastly I just wanted to say thank you to each one of you who helps us throughout the year. It is all of you who comprise this team and who works to keep our mission to help others alive. My prayers and my heart goes out to all those who have been deeply affected by last weeks events. My heart feels there is no better way to heal then by reaching out to help all of those who need us.

When requesting items from us PLEASE be very specific as to the age, sex, size, etc of the person needing items.  With clothing, please say if its Childrens, Juniors, or Adults sizes. Also, all requests without a phone number will not be honored as we need a number for our records. We are spending too much time calling to ask the questions that should be answered in our email.
