At Project Just Because (PJB) we help individuals and families that are having financial difficulties - by supplying them with items they need. We run many different programs throughout the year, providing things like clothing, school supplies, basic toys, toiletries and small household items. Founded in 1998 as a grassroots effort to help local families, we became an official charity organization in 2004. We have been growing steadily since, donating almost every penny that we receive. We also distribute tens of thousands of new items every year. We hope you will find it in your heart to help us, as we do what we can to help others.
Our Fall Business hours are Mon-Thurs from 9-4
Here is an idea a supporter of PJB had of a way to help us:
I was having a party on December 18th (2010)
I knew friends would want to bring something for the host/hostess, but I really don’t need anything like I knew the families in Metrowest needed this past year.
In the invitation, we urged party participants to bring something for Project Just Because or make a donation on line in lieu of any gifts.
This was my first time reaching out to my own friends to make a donation in honor of this party. We kept the party pretty simple with catered food and a couple of servers.
We had great feedback from everyone who came, and I sent out or left tax receipts for party givers for the donations.
I was glad to share the purpose of my birthday party with an organization like yours…
I can only think that others in Hopkinton would consider to do the same thing if given the idea and the guidance to do it.
