New Food Program

Project Just Because is launching a new food program on Saturdays from 10am-12noon.  Starting Saturday, April 15th, the PJB office will be open at 109 South Street for people to receive fresh food (fruits, vegetables, breads, etc.).  The foods available will vary from week to week and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’ve fallen on hard times and need a helping hand, Project Just Because is here to help.

We accept all new items to help families in need. In addition, we accept used clothing in near perfect condition. All donations are tax deductible and we provide tax receipts to donors.

We do accept gently used clothing & coats. We CANNOT accept the following: Anything with rips, tears, stains, broken zippers, any item with Names inside label, anything without a size listed, anything smelling musty or anything with animal fur, etc. Any items NOT meeting our quality standards will be donated to another charity that we partner with to ensure your donation helps others in need.

Items that must be new are footwear, pajamas, undergarments, blankets, sheets, hats & mittens, and bathing suits. Toys and books must also be new as they are only given out as gifts.

We cannot accept any large item such as furniture, bicycles, microwaves, strollers, car seats etc. due to space constraints. However, we want to be able to put those in need in touch with those of you willing to donate these items. So we have set up a Furniture Network where you can list the item you want to donate and those needing it will contact you directly. It has had great success!

Project Just Because, Inc. relies on the generosity of the people and businesses within our communities to support our programs. All of the work we do is funded by our neighbors in the form of donations of time, goods, services and financial contributions. And remember we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so all donations are tax-deductible.

Project Just Because, Inc. couldn’t help the people we serve without the generous support of you! Whether by donating goods, services or funds, we are aided by thousands of people in the greater Metro West community.

The Community Service Program is a year-round effort, allowing people to make a difference. Local children have done a wonderful job in the past by collecting cans, returning them for deposit money and using the cash to buy toiletries for the Project Just Because, Inc. donations.
